Abstract:
Objective:To detect the levels of total cholesterol,triacylglycerol,low-density lipoprotein(LDL),high-density lipoprotein (HDL) and fasting blood glucose in 50 years old crowd with early life exposure to famine, and explore the influence of early life nutrition on adult diseases. Methods:Four thousand two hundred and fourteen adults born in 1957-1963 from a hospital physical examination center in 2011 in Anhui were divided into exposure before famine group(982 cases born in 1957 to 1958),exposure famine group(1 233 cases born in 1959 to 1961) and exposure after famine group(1 999 cases born in 1962 to 1963).The levels of total cholesterol, triacylglycerol,LDL,HDL and fasting blood glucose in three groups were compared. Results:Except the fasting blood glucose level, the differences of the levels of total cholesterol, triacylglycerol,LDL and HDL in different cases had statistical significance (P 0.05 to P 0.01).The level of male triacylglycerol in exposure before famine group was lower than that in exposure after famine group(P 0.01).The levels of female fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol and LDL in exposure before famine group were higher than those in exposure famine group and exposure after famine group(P 0.05 to P 0.01).Conclusions:The early life malnutrition maybe influence the metabolism of blood fat and blood glucose after adult, which may be more remarkable in male with more than 50 years old.The reasonable nutrition in pregnant women has far-reaching significance in preventing chronic metabolic disease in their offspring.
