Abstract:
Objective: To explore the nursing measures for patients with esophageal stenosis or esophageal fistula treated by esophageal stent implantation.
Methods: Esophageal stent placement was performed on 23 cases of esophageal stenosis or esophagus fistula.Before operation,comprehensive and meticulous preparations were made;during operation,accurate and swift support was provided;after operation,the patients were rightly positioned and given proper instructions about diet,prevention and handling of complications and matters after being discharged.
Results: The dysphagia of 11 patients with esophageal stenosis were obviously improved and could take food by mouth.The esophagus fistulas in other 11 cases were sealed up and they could take food without choking in the procedure.
Conclusions: The operation of esophageal stent placement can eliminate the dysphagia of patients with esophageal carcinoma complicated with esophageal stenosis or fistula and improve their life quality.Proper nursing may decrease the complication and enhance the therapeutic efficacy.
