Abstract: Objective:To evaluate the effect of complex treatment of eye alkali burn.Methods:Twenty-two cases (34 eyes) of alkali burn were treated as follows:washing the conjunctival sac,cleaning ocular foreign bodies.Applying to local and general body more antibiotics,Vitamin C and corticosteroid,added with local heparinizing,auto-blood transfusion and other comprehensive therapy to promote healing.Results:Fifteen eyes got 0.8 or better vision after treatment,the corneal was translucent.One eye's vision was improved to 0.6,15 eyes to 0.25-0.4.These all eyes had corneal nebula or macula.Vision was above 0.1 in 2 eyes and the last 1 eye got light perception,all of these eyes had corneal leucoma,neovascularization,symblepharon and conjunctival sac constriction.Conclusions:After the effective comprehensive treatment,the alkali burn eyes can get a better result,and offer a good base for operation.
