Abstract:
Objective To investigate the application effects of thoracoscopic surgery video combined with CBL teaching method in the clinical teaching of thoracic surgery.
Methods Thirty-six undergraduate interns in thoracic surgery were selected as the research subjects, and randomly divided into the control group and observation group (18 interns each group). The control group were taught with the CBL teaching method, while the observation group were taught with thoracoscopic video on the basis of CBL. The assessment results between two groups were compared, and the teaching satisfaction in two groups were evaluated by questionnaire survey.
Results The scores of the basic theory, ability to read chest CT films, practical operation, understanding of the anatomy of relevant parts and total assessment in the observation group were significantly higher than those in control group (P < 0.01). The teaching satisfaction rate in the control group and observation group were 72.22% (13/18), and 94.44% (17/18), respectively. The difference in teaching satisfaction between two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01).
Conclusions The combination of thoracoscopic surgery videos and CBL is conducive to improving the quality of clinical teaching in thoracic surgery, deepening interns' understanding of thoracic surgical diseases and thoracoscopic surgery, and the student satisfaction rate is relatively high.
