Abstract:
Objective: To explore the teaching effectiveness in Medical English under social constructivist perspective of learning.
Methods: Class A(182 students) and class B(188 students) from grade 2012 clinical specialty were divided into the experimental group and control group,respectively.The experimental group and control group in Medical English were taught using social constructive perspective of learning and vocabulary teaching combined with grammar-translation method,respectively.The implementation and evaluation of effective teaching method were investigated from 3 dimensions of teaching objective,teaching activities and reflective learning.
Results: The final score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group(
P<0.01).The satisfaction and teaching quality of Medical English in “learner-center” were improved.
Conclusions: Effective teaching is favorable for the active construction of significance of autonomous Learning and research in learner,which can provide useful inspiration in the further development of teaching reform.
