Abstract:
Objective:To observe the effect of psychological intervention on recovery of cognitive function in patients with cerebral infarction.
Methods:One hundred and eight patients with cerebral infarction were randomly divided into normal control group and psychological intervention group.Normal control group was given treatment and care according to "cerebral infarction clinical path".Psychological intervention group was given three times three-dimensional psychological interviews and psychological intervention according to different types of psychological disorders of cerebral infarction.Three times modified Barthel Index (BI) tests and Raven intelligence (RW) tests were taken before treatment,1 week and 2 weeks after treatment.
Results:The BI total score in normal control group and psychological intervention group was higher 1 week and 2 weeks after treatment than before treatment (
P<0.05 and
P<0.01).The BI points of patients in normal control group were higher 1 week after treatment than before treatment (
P<0.05-
P<0.01),excepting for those with psychiatric and mood disorders (
P>0.05).The BI total score in psychological intervention group increased significantly after 1 to 2 weeks treatment (
P<0.01).The rehabilitation of intelligence had no significant difference between normal control group and psychological intervention group 1 week after treatment (
P>0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, the patients' intelligence in both groups improved significantly (
P<0.01),but there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (
P>0.05).
Conclusions:Psychological intervention can effectively improve the patients' living ability and facilitate or speed up the recovery of intelligence in patients with cerebral infarction.
