Abstract:
Objective: To study the indications and effects of transsacral local excision of rectal tumors.
Methods: The clinical data of 11 patients performed transsacral local excision of benign or malignant tumors were analyzed.
Results: Among the 11 patients,no anostonotic leakage or fecal incontinence was observed. The cutting end in 5 cases of malignant tumors was negative. All the patients were followed up for 2-24 months after the operation.Local recurrence and metastasis occurred in no patient.
Conclusions: If the indication is ensured, transsacral local excision can achieve expectant effects in patients with early rectal cancer.
