Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the status and its influencing factors of humanistic caring ability in orthopaedic nursing staff.
Methods: Forty-eight orthopaedic nursing staff from two tertiary hospitals in a city were investigated by self-designed questionnaire.
Results: The humanistic caring ability of nurse with more than or equal to 40 years old was higher than that of nurse with less than 40 years old(
P<0.01).The humanistic caring ability of nurse with more than or equal to 10 years service was higher than that of nurse with less than 10 years service(
P<0.01).The humanistic caring ability of nurse with nurse professional title or above was higher than that of nurse(
P<0.01).The humanistic caring ability of nurse with bachelor degree was higher than that from nursing school(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: The age,professional title,education and working years are the influence factors of humanistic caring ability in orthopaedic nursing staff.The hierarchical continuing education training should be implemented by nursing managers according to the different influencing factors,which can constantly improve the orthopedic humanistic caring ability,and provide high quality nursing service.
