Abstract:
Objective: To explore the clinical efficiency of the preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined with operation in the treatment of FIGO Ib-Ⅱb stage cervical carcinoma.
Methods: Forty operation patients were treated with preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy.the radical resections in the patients with cervical lesions more than 4 cm.preoperative massive hemorrhage treated with intracavitary brachytherapy after 3 weeks were implemented. The safety of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy was evaluated by the tumor size change, adverse reaction of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, operation difficulty change and postoperative pathological change.
Results: The total effective rate and success rate of operation in the cervical carcinoma patients treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy were 82.5% and 100%,respectively.
Conclusions: The neoadjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy combined with operation in treating the Ib2-Ⅱb stage cervical carcinoma is safe and effective.which can improve the operative effects and decrease the incidence of complications.
