Abstract:
Objective: To explore the role of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) in inducing the apoptosis of vascular endothelial cells(EC) in vitro and its influence on the expression of TNFα.
Methods: The EC cells were cultured
in vitro with the condition media containing varied concentration of IFN-γ(0,20,40,80 μg/L) for 24 hours, and then the total RNA was extracted to analyze the mRNA level of TNFα in EC by RT-PCR.The influence of IFN-γ in inducing the apoptosis on EC was analyzed by MTT method.
Results: IFN-γ could induce the apoptosis of EC in a dose-dependent manner and it could upregulate the expression of TNFα mRNA level in EC.
Conclusions: IFN-γ can induce the apoptosis of EC in vitro by up-regulating the expression of TNFα.
