Abstract:
Objective: To explore the clinical significance of the fibrinogen receptor(FIB-R) expression on the circulating activated platelets(CAP) in patients with cerebral infarction.
Methods: The levels of FIB-R expression on CAP were detected by flow cytometry(FCM) in the blood of 10 healthy controls,20 patients with thrombotic tendency and 20 patients with acute cerebral infarction before and after treatment.
Results: The FIB-R expression levels on CAP were markedly higher(
P<0.01) in patients with thrombotic tendency and the ones with acute cerebral infarction than that in the healthy controls. The expression levels of FIB-R on CAP before and after treatment were significantly different(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: The level of platelet activation can be reflected accurately by detection of FIB-R expression on CAP,which is of great value for the prediction, treatment, supervision of curative effect and estimation of prognosis in patients with cerebral infarction.
