Abstract:
Objective:To compile the emotion management ability scale in medical students,and check its reliability and validity.
Methods:The initial entry of questionnaire was compiled according to the theoretical analysis,interview and open questionnaire survey.Four hundred and fifty-eight medical students were investigated for analyzing item and exploratory factors and determining the dimensions and entries of questionnaire.Three hundred medical students were formally evaluated for confirmatory factor and validity analysis,the emotion management ability scale was used as a criterion.
Results:The scale was made up of 28 clauses,which included the emotional evaluation,emotional awareness,emotional expression ability and emotion regulation ability.The
χ2/df=2.140,RMSEA=0.050,CFI=0.905 and IFI=0.906 fitting index were obtained by analyzing the exploratory factor.The total score was significantly positive related to the emotional intelligence scale(
r=0.813,
P<0.01).The coefficient of total table was 0.923.the 1/2 reliability of Spearman-Brown was 0.891,and the Cronbacha's α coefficient of four dimensions were 0.864,0.751,0.777 and 0.741,respectively.
Conclusions:The emotion management ability scale has a good reliability and validity,which is an effective tool to measure the emotional management ability of medical students.
