Abstract:
Objective To explore the effect of artificial-intelligence micro-video education combined with focused nursing (AI-FN) model in patients aged ≤65 years with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP).
Methods A total of 200 patients with BPH scheduled by TURP were randomly divided into the control group and observation group at 1∶1 ratio using the random-number table method. The control group and observation group recived the routine nursing and AI-FN nursing, respectively. The scores of positive and negative emotion, quality of life, prostate symptoms, nursing satisfaction and incidence of complications between two groups were compared.
Results The scores of positive emotion, quality of life and nursing satisfaction in the observation group were all significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05), while the scores of negative emotions, prostate symptoms, and incidence of complications in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P < 0.05).
Conclusions AI-FN can improve the emotional status, quality of life, prostate symptoms and quality of life of BPH patients aged ≤65 years, and reduce the occurrence of complications. It is worthy of promotion.
