Abstract: Objective: To observe the efficacy of intravesical instillation of pirarubicin(THP) combined with transurethral electrovaporization in the treatment of glandular cystitis.Methods: Twenty-two cases of glandular cystitis were diagnosed by cystoscopy and pathological examination and treated with transurethral resection and bladder instillation of pirarubicin.Results: The follow up ranged from 12 to 36 months with mean of 14 months.Of all 22 cases,18 cases were fully cured with transitional cell covering the surface of bladder mucosa gradually,3 cases improved,and 1 case relapsed and recovered after treated with transurethral resection and bladder instillation of pirarubicin again.No case developed adenocarcinoma.Conclusions: The transurethral electrovaporization combined with pirarubicin intravesical instillation is effective in treatment of local recurrence of glandular cystitis.
