Abstract:
Objective To analyze the current status and influencing factors of rumination in breast cancer patients treated with implantable venous infusion port (IVAP) chemotherapy, and establish a random forest model to evaluate its importance.
Methods A total of 186 breast cancer patients treated with IVAP chemotherapy were investigated using the general information questionnaire, mental resilience scale (CD-RISC), perceptive social support scale (PSSS) and ruminant questionnaire (C-ERRI), and the importance of influencing factors was evaluated by random forest model.
Results The scores of rumination, comprehension of social support and psychological resilience in breast cancer patients treated with IVAP chemotherapy were (29.38 ± 4.58), (54.55 ± 6.62) and (54.09 ± 7.46), respectively. The purposeful rumination was positively correlated with the comprehension of social support and psychological resilience (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01), and the intrusive rumination was negatively correlated with the comprehension of social support and psychological resilience (P < 0.05 to P < 0.01). The results of random forest model analysis showed that the psychological resilience, social support and educational level were the top three influencing factors of purposeful rumination in breast cancer patients treated with IVAP chemotherapy, and the tumor stage, education level and monthly family income were the top three influencing factors of invasive rumination in breast cancer patients treated with IVAP chemotherapy.
Conclusions The rumination score of breast cancer patients treated with IVAP chemotherapy is at a medium level. Clinical staff can take targeted intervention measures to improve the physical and mental health of patients from the influencing factors of rumination.
