Abstract:
Objective: To compare the therapeutic effects of the suspension laryngoscope in nosal endoscope surgery and euthyphoria surgery for treatment of vocal cord polyps, and to discuss the choice of surgical procedures.
Methods: The clinical data of 80 patients with vocal cord polyps were analyzed retrospectively. Forty-one of the cases received the resection using the suspension laryngoscope with the aid of nosal endoscope(nosal endoscope group) and 39 cases received euthyphoria surgery(euthyphoria group). All the cases were followed up for 3 months. The clinical effects of the two procedures were compared.
Results: The clinical effect of nosal endoscope group was significantly better than that of the euthyphoria group (
P < 0.05).
Conclusions: The procedure of using the suspension laryngoscope with the aid of nosal endoscope is superior to the euthyphoria procedure in treatment of vocal cord polyps, and is worth popularizing.
