Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the effect of MIPPO technology combined with locking compression plate (LCP) fixation in treatment of proximal tibial comminuted fracture.
Methods: Twenty-five patients with comminuted fracture of the proximal tibial were managed by MIPPO technology combined with LCP internal fixation.
Results: Primary healing of the incision and the fracture was achieved in all the 25 cases. No delayed union or nonunion occurred. The knee-ankle-joint function of the limbs recovered well.
Conclusions: MIPPO technology combined with LCP fixation tends to become the best choice for treatment of proximal tibial comminuted fractures.
