Abstract: Objective: To elucidate the method and result of transurethral holmium laser therapy for treatment of cystitis glandularis(CG).Methods: Twenty-seven cases of CG confirmed pathologically using cystoscopy were treated by the transurethral holmium laser and received postoperative chemotherapy of pirarubicin bladder irrigation.Results: The operation was successful in all the 27 cases,and the follow-up lasted for 8 to 27 months.Nineteen cases were cured,6 alleviated,and 2 relapsed;no carcinomatous change was observed.Conclusions: The transurethral holmium laser therapy is an effective,convenient and safe technique with a low recurrence rate for treatment of CG.It is worthy of popularization in clinic.
