Abstract:
Objective: To study the influence of acanthopanax senticosus injection (ASI) on cerebral ischemic reperfusion injury in mice.
Methods: The cerebral ischemic reperfusion injury model was established by binding the bilateral total artery and the soft tissue of neck in mice. The mice were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group, ischemic reperfusion group (I/R) and ASI group(AS).The electroencephalogram(EEG) was continually observed during the experiment course and the water content in cerebrum and the Evans blue content in brain organization were measured after the mice were killed.
Results: The mice EEG in control group did not have any unusual change before and after operation;the mice EEG in I/R group and AS group was a straight line during the observing course;the water content in I/R group(83.92±5.10)% was higher than that in AS group(79.21±2.59)% (
P<0.05);the Evans blue content in I/R group(0.535 7 ±0.098 8) was obvious higher than that in AS group(0.300 0 ±0.064 5) (
P<0.01).
Conclusions: The ASI plays a protective role in ischemic reperfusion injury in mice.
