Abstract:
Objective: To analyze the clinical efficacy of gemcitabine and cisplatin for treatment of advanced soft tissue sarcoma.
Methods: Twenty-nine patients with soft tissue sarcoma hospitalized were treated with gemcitabine and cisplatin chemotherapy:gemcitabine 1 000 mg/m
2 intravenous infusion, d
1,8; cisplatin 30 mg/m
2 intravenous infusion, d
1-3. The efficacy and toxicity were observed.
Results: One case was achieved complete response,14 cases were partial response,7 cases with stable disease and 7 cases with progressed disease. The total response rate was 75.86%. The main side effects were myelosuppression and gastrointestinal reactions,no significant liver and kidney damage.
Conclusions: Gemcitabine and cisplatin chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced soft tissue sarcoma has the good effect,and well tolerated.
