Abstract:
Objective: To sum up the experience in rescuing patients with severe organophosphorus pesticide intoxication combined with respiratory failure.
Methods: After thorough gastric lavage and general medical conventional therapy,53 patients with severe organophosphorus pesticide intoxication were treated by flushing dose of pralidoxime chloride,atropinization,mechanical ventilation,and other comprehensive emergency medical therapies.
Results: Forty-four patients survived(83%).Five cases gave up.
Conclusions: Timely and thorough gastric lavage,proper application of atropine or changtuoling,rational use of tracheal intubation,mechanical ventilation and other techniques can improve the efficacy.
