Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate the clinical value of SonoVue-hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography(SonoVue-HyCoSy) in the diagnosis of infertility.
Methods: Totally 83 fallopian tubes in 43 infertile women including 27 primary infertility and 16 acquired infertility were examined with both SonoVue-HyCoSy and hysterosalpingography(HSG).Real-time assessment of tubal patency was conducted by monitoring of contrast agent in the tubal lumen.
Results: The sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accurate rate of SonoVue-HyCoSy were 95.1%,100.0%,100.0%,88.0%,and 96.4%,respectively.There were no significant differences found between the SonoVue-HyCoSy group and HSG group for above parametres.
Conclusions: SonoVue-HyCoSy was an excellent technique with very high sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of inferty.Compared with HSG,SonoVue-HyCoSy was more reliable,non-invasive and able to benefit for women with infertility.
