Abstract:
Objective To understand the current situation of the patient experience of patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery and analyze its influencing factors so as to increase the attention of medical staff to the patient experience of patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery and provide a theoretical basis for clinical intervention.
Methods By using the convenience sampling method, 218 patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery in a tertiary grade A general hospital in Lianyungang City from October 2024 to March 2025 were selected as the research subjects. The general information questionnaire, the "how R we-C" questionnaire, and the nurse care behavior scale were used for the investigation. Univariate analysis and multiple linear regression analysis were adopted to analyze the influencing factors of the patient experience of patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery.
Results A total of 218 valid questionnaires were retrieved, with a recovery rate of 94.78%. The score of the "how R we-C" questionnaire was (7.41 ± 0.102) points, and the patient experience of patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery was good. The score of the Nurse Care Behavior Scale was (113.21 ± 12.798) points, which was higher than the norm of clinical nurse care behavior in China. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the marriage, political status, medical expenses and nurses' caring behaviors were the influencing factors affecting patients experience (P < 0.05).
Conclusions Patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery have a good patient experience, but there is still much room for improvement. Therefore, ophthalmic healthcare managers should, based on the survey results, pay attention to the characteristics of patients treated with ophthalmic day surgery, accurately identify special groups, and provide them with personalized and high-quality medical care, thereby further improving the medical experience.
