Abstract:
Objective: To study the relationship between the expression of putative protein tyrosine phosphatase(PTEN),metastasls-associated gene(MTA1),p73 and the prognosis of patients with lung cancer.
Methods: PTEN,MTA1,p73 antibody were marked symphonically with immunohistochemical streptavidin peroxidase conjugated (SP) methods in 117 cases of lung cancer tissues.
Results: In the lung cancer tissues,PTEN expression in 65 casas(55.56%),MTA1 in 21 cases(17.95%) and p73 in 63 cases(53.85%).The expression of MTA1 was significantly different from that of PTEN and p73 (
P<0.05).
Conclusions: PTEN protein expression is significantly higher in that with non-lymph node metastasis of well-differentiated lung cancer than in that with lymph node metastasis of poorly-differentiated ones.MTA1 protein expression is mostly found in patients with poorly-differentiated cancer accompanied by lymph node metastasis.p73 gene expression is a kind of neoplasm defense gene.Once normal tissues turn to cancer,p73 gene will enforce the expression and execute defense function.
