Abstract:
Objective: To observes the therapeutic effect of fluticasone propinate inhalation plus bambuterol hydrochloride in the prevention and treatment of asthma in children.
Methods: Thirty-two children with moderate asthma were divided into two groups at random.Treatment group(18 cases) were administered fluticasone propinate inhalation plus bambuterol hydrochloride.Control group(14 cases) were given fluticasone propinate inhalation only.The daytime and night asthma symptom scores were observed before treatment and 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment.The peak expiratory flow(PEF) of 22 cases before treatment and 12 weeks after treatment were easured.
Results: The scores of daytime,night asthma symptom 4 weeks,8 weeks and 12 weeks after treatment were significantly different from those before treatment(
P<0.01),and the symptoms gradually improved with the treatment,which was more obvious in the treatment group than in the control group(
P<0.01).PEF were significantly different between pre-treatment and 12 weeks after treatment(
P<0.01),but treatment group and control group was no sighifcantly diffrent(
P>0.05).
Conclusions: Fluticasone propinate inhalation combined with bambuterol hydrohloride is effective for treatment of asthma in children.
