Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the expression of cyclooxyenase-2(COX-2),vascular endothelial cell growth factor(VEGF) and cyclin D1 in gastric carcinoma and chronice atrophic gastritis and its significance.
Methods: The expression of COX-2,VEGF and cyclin D1 in 60 cases of gastric carcinoma and 20 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis was studied by immunohistochemical method.
Results: The positive rate of COX-2 was 66.67 in gastric carcinoma, which was higher than that in chronic atrophic gastritis(P<0.05).The positive rate of VEGF was76.67 in gastric carcinoma, which was higher than that in chronic atrophic gastritis(P<0.005).The positive rate of cyclin D1 was 61.67 in gastric carcinoma, which was significantly higher than that in chronic atrophic gastritis(P<0.005).
Conclusions: The expression level of COX-2,VEGF and cyclin D1 may be closely correlated with the cancerous transformation process of chronic atrophic gastritis.
