Abstract:
Objective: To evaluate three-phase spiral CT contract-enhanced(CE) scan in the diagnosis of carcinoma of pancreatic body and tail and its clinical application.
Methods: Thirty-two cases with carcinomas of pancreatic body and tail underwent plain CT and three-phase CE scan. The CT value of normal pancreas and tumors were measured and compared.According to CT findings, the diagnosis and resectablities were assessed.
Results: Among 32 cases,22 showed slight enhancement,9 showed middle enhancement,1 showed non-enhancing cystic lesion.Turmor-pancrea contrast values in arterical phase were 23.45±12.62,64.53±27.34 in pancrdatic parenchymal phase and 41.28±19.12 in portalvein phase. The datas of three groups have difference in statistics(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: Multislice spiral CT three-phase CE scan is valuable in detecting the carcinoma of pancreatic body and tail.
