Abstract:
Objective: To elvaluate the relationship between the genetic polymorphism of cytochrome P450 1A1 (CYP1A1) and the genetic susceptibility in cervical cancer.
Methods: The distribution frequencies of CYP1A1 Ile/Val polymorphism were detected in 92 cervical squamous cell carcinoma,31 cervical adenocarcinoma and 100 healthy controls by allele-specific PCR.
Results: The frequencies of three genotypes Ile/Ile,Ile/Val,Val/Val were 33.0%,64.0% and 3.0% respectively in control group;20.7%,68.0% and 16.3% respectively in cervical squamous cell carcinoma;and 12.9%,67.7% and 19.4% respectively in cervical adenocarcinoma. There was the significant difference among the three groups (
P<0.05).
Conclusions: Polymorphism of CYP1A1 Ile/Val plays an important role in the oncogenesis of cervical cancer.
