Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the status of depression and its influencing factors in maintenance hemodialysis patients, and provide a basis for improving depression symptoms.
MethodsA total of 209 patients with maintenance hemodialysis from three grade AAA and above hospitals in Beijing were investigated using the general data questionnaire, self-rating depression scale (SDS), functional assessment of chronic illness therapy-fatigue (FACIT-F), and Athen's insomnia scale (AIS).
ResultsThe incidence rate of depressive symptom in maintenance hemodialysis patients was 40.2%.The results of logistic regression showed that the fatigue and sleep disorders were the independent risk factors of depression in maintenance hemodialysis patients (P < 0.05).
ConclusionsThe incidence rate of depressive symptoms in maintenance hemodialysis patients is high.In clinical work, it is necessary to strengthen the observation of mental state. The exercise can improve the symptom of fatigue during hemodialysis, and the physics or medication can improve sleep disorders, which can improve the depressive symptoms and quality of life of patients with maintenance hemodialysis.
