Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the correlation between mean platelet volume/platelet ratio(MPR) and systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE).
Methods:Thirty-six SLE patients and 40 age-and gender-matched medical examiner were divided into the SLE group and control group, respectively. The MPV,MPR,SLE disease activity index(SLEDAI) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) were retrospectively analyzed.
Results:The levels of MPV and MPR in SLE group were higher than those in control group(
P<0.05 and
P<0.01).The ESR was positively correlated with MPV and MPR(
P<0.01 and
P<0.05).The MPR was positively correlated with SLEDAI(
P<0.01),and the MPV was not obviously correlated with SLEDAI(
P>0.05).
Conclusions:MPR may be an useful index in estimating the SLE activity.
