Abstract:
Objective To explore the teaching effects of endovascular therapy simulator in clinical skill training of vascular surgery.
Methods Forty-two standardized training students in 2016(control group) and 42 students in 2017(observation group) were trained with using the case-based study(CBS) and teaching mode of CBS combined with endovascular therapy simulator, respectively. The teaching effects of two different teaching methods were evaluated using the examination and questionnaire.
Results The scores of theoretical knowledge and practical operation in observation group were significantly better than those in control group(P < 0.01).In terms of the abilities of problem-solving, practical operation and cooperative communication, the proportion of approval in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.01).There was no statistical significance in the proportion of approval in terms of improving learning interest and abilities of consulting literature and materials between two groups(P>0.05).
Conclusions The teaching mode of CBS combined with endovascular therapy simulator can improve the clinical teaching effects of vascular surgery.
