Abstract:
ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of self-made constant pressure stomach lavage device for newborn on neonatal gastric lavage.
MethodsOne hundred and twenty children with neonatal hypopharyngeal syndrome were randomly divided into the observation group and control group(60 cases in each group). The control group was treated with traditional syringe gastric lavage, while the observation group was treated with constant pressure stomach lavage device for newborn modified by disposable sputum collector for gastric lavage. The effects of gastric lavage and damage of gastric mucosa were compared between the two groups.
ResultsThe relief time of vomiting, disappearance time of gastric retention and recovery time of gastrointestinal feeding in observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P < 0.01).The effective rate in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group(P < 0.01), and the undamaged rate of gastric mucosa in observation group was higher than that in control group(P < 0.01).
ConclusionsIn clinical gastric lavage for newborns, the constant pressure stomach lavage device for newborns modified by disposable sputum collector has high effectiveness and safety.
