Abstract:
ObjectiveTo explore the teaching design and practice effect of integrating ideological and political elements into undergraduate practice teaching of clinical medical students.
MethodsA total of 162 undergraduate students of grade 2017 who practiced in The First Affiliated Hospital of Bengbu Medical College from June 2021 to May 2022 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group using the number table method, with 81 participants in each group.The control group was taught the regular internship, the observation group was taught with integrating ideological and political elements into teaching on the basis of the control group.After 16 weeks of teaching, students' subjective cognitive feelings and their scores in the entrance and graduation exams were evaluated.
ResultsStudents in the observation group had better subjective feelings of integrating ideological and political elements during the internship teaching than those in the control group (P < 0.01).The theory of internal medicine, skill assessment and graduation examination were higher than those of the control group (P < 0.01).
ConclusionsIntegrating ideological and political education into medical students practice teaching can help to continuously improve students' ideological cognition, stimulate their interest in learning, improve their professional performance, and be beneficial to cultivate socialist medical talents.
