Abstract: Objective: To observe the therapeutic and toxic effect of cisplatin combined with lentinan in treatment of malignant pleural effusion.Methods: A drainage tube was placed into the chest to release the pleural effusion.The observation group were administered intrapleural injection of cisplatin 40 mg and lentinan 4 mg alternately,and the control group intrapleural cisplatin 60 mg only.The therapy was repeated 3-7 day;one course consisted of 4 times.The efficacy and toxicity were observed 1 month after the regimen.Results: The observation group had a better short-term effect and life quality than the control group (P<0.05 and P<0.01);the observation group demonstrated lower toxicity reaction than the control group (P<0.05).Conclusions: Lentinan combined with cisplatin therapy can enhance the efficacy,reduce the side effects and improve the quality of life of the patients with malignant pleural effusion.
