Abstract:
Objective: To study the expression of pS2 and neu oncogene in female breast carcinomas and its significance.
Methods: Immunohistochemistry SP method was used to detect the oncogene expression retrospectively in tissue blocks of 65 cases of breast cancer.
Results: The positive expression of pS2 and neu are 50.8% and 46.2%,respectively,in 65 cases of breast cancer. The positive rates of neu oncogene in lymph node metastasis were markedly different from that without metastasis(
P<0.01).
Conclusions: The overexpression of neu oncogene correlates with lymph node metastasis intimately. Therefore, clinic investigation of the expression neu may be one of important reference indexes to predict prognosis in patients.
