    Correlation between expression of KAI1 and epithelia-cadherin and their clinical significance

    • 摘要: 目的:探讨浸润性宫颈癌(ICC)组织中KAI1和上皮性钙黏蛋白(epithelia-cadherin,E-cad)的表达情况及其临床病理意义。方法:采用免疫组织化学EliVisionTMplus法检测76例ICC组织、30例宫颈上皮内瘤变(CIN)组织和20例正常子宫颈鳞状上皮(NCE)组织中KAI1和E-cad的表达情况。结果:在ICC、CIN和NCE组织中KAI1和E-cad的阳性率分别为42.1%、70.0%、100.0%和40.8%、63.3%、100.0%,差异均有统计学意义(P0.01);ICC组织的不同分化程度、淋巴结是否有转移及不同临床分期KAI1和E-cad的表达水平差异均有统计学意义(P0.05~P0.01),且KAI1的表达与E-cad的表达呈正相关关系(P0.01)。结论:KAI1和E-cad的低表达或缺表达参与了ICC的发展、侵袭和转移;联合检测KAI1和E-cad对ICC患者疾病进展及预后判断有重要意义。

       

      Abstract: ObjectiveTo explore the expression of KAI1 and epithelia-cadherin( E-cad) in infiltrating cervical carcinoma( ICC) and their clinical significance. Methods: The expressions of KAI1 and E-cad were examined by immunohistochemistry containing 76 specimens of ICC tissues,30 specimens of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia( CIN) ,and 20 specimens of normal cervical epithelium( NCE) .Results: The positive rates of KAI1 and E-cad in ICC tissues,CIN tissues, and NCE tissue were 42.1%, 70.0%, 100% and 40.8%, 63.3%, 100.0%, respectively.There was a significant difference between the two groups( P 0.01) .The expressions of KAI1 and E-cad were significantly associated with grades of tumor, lymph node metastasis,pathological-TNM stages( P 0.05 to P 0.01) . And there was a positive relationship between KAI1 and E-cad expression( P 0.01) . Conclusions: The low or loss expression of KAI1 and E-cad may promote ICC progression,development and metastasis; the combined detection of KAI1 and E-cad has an important role in predicting the progression and prognosis of ICC.
