    Repair and reconstruction of giant chest wall defect after tumor resection

    • 摘要: 目的: 总结胸壁肿瘤切除后胸壁大块缺损的修补与重建方法。方法: 对15例因肿瘤切除后导致的胸壁大块缺损的患者采用钢丝网、Dacron补片与网格状钛合金钢板进行修补及胸壁重建。结果: 15例肿瘤切除手术过程顺利,无手术死亡,胸壁肿瘤均完整切除。无一例出现并发症。随访1个月至10年,9例恶性肿瘤生存6个月至7年,6例良性肿瘤均全部生存。结论: 外科手术仍是胸壁肿瘤治疗的主要方法,胸壁大块缺损的修补和重建能够保持胸部结构的稳定及胸膜腔的密闭性,选择适宜的修复材料是手术成功的关键。

       

      Abstract: Objective: To investigate the methods of repair and reconstruction of giant chest wall defect after tumor resection. Methods: The clinical data of 15 cases with chest wall neoplasms were retrospectively analyzed.Giant chest wall defects were repaired and reconstructed with steel wire mesh,Dacron patch and mesh-like titanium alloy plate afer tumor resection.Results: All cases operation process were smoothly and none died.Chest wall tumors were completely resected and no postoperative complications occurred.All the patients were followed up for 1 month to 10 years,9 cases with malignant tumors survived for 6 months to 7 years and 6 cases with benign tumors were alive.Conclusions: Surgery is still the main treatment for chest wall tumors.Repair and reconstruction of giant chest wall defect can maintain the stability of the chest structure and pleural cavity closure.Choosing appropriate repair material is the key factor of successful operation.
