Abstract: Objective: To explore the clinical nursing effects of magnesium sulfate wet compress on postpartum perineal edema. Methods: Three hundred puerpera with postpartum perineal edema were randomly divided into the control group and treatment group( 150 cases each group). The control group and treatment group were treated with metronidazole wet compress combined with infrared irradiation and magnesium sulfate wet compress combined with infrared irradiation,respectively. The clinical effects in two groups were observed at 72 hours after treatment. Results: One hundred and thirty in observation group and 90 cases in control group were cured,the difference of which was statistically significant( P 0. 01). The recovery time in observation group( 3. 5 1. 5) days was significantly less than that in control group( 4. 5 2. 5) days( P 0. 01). The difference of infection rate in two groups was not statistically significant( P 0. 05). Conclusions: The effects of magnesium sulfate wet compress combined with infrared irradiation treatment on postpartum perineal edema are good,which can reduce pain,promote wound healing,and shorten the treatment time.
