Application value of new postion in intrahospital transport of non-traumatic coma patients

    • ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of new position in intrahospital transport of non-traumatic coma patients, and explore the appropriate nursing position during the transport.
MethodsFifty non-traumatic coma patients from January to June 2018 and 50 cases from July to December 2018 were divided into the control group and observation group, respectively. The control group and observation group were nursed with the conventional position and new position (head height of 20° to 30° and side lying at 30° to 60°), respectively. The mean arterial pressure, heart rate and position tolerance time, nursing adverse events and satisfaction of patients' family were compared between two groups.
ResultsThere was no statistical significance in the mean arterial pressure and heart rate between two groups at admission (P>0.05).The position tolerance time, incidence rate of nursing adverse events and family satisfaction in observation group were longer, lower and better than those in control group, respectively (P < 0.05).
ConclusionsThe new position is a suitable nursing position in the transport of non-traumatic coma patients in emergency, and helpful to reduce the incidence rate of nursing adverse events and improve the satisfaction of patients' family.
