Expression of the Hes1 in the development process of rat spinal cord

Objective:To detect the expression of Hes1 in the development process of rat spinal cord.Methods:The rat spinal cord at embryonic day 15.5 and 18.5,the day of birth,3 days after birth,7 days,2 weeks and 4 weeks,and adult rat spinal cord were harvested,the Hes1 expressions of which were detected by the fluorescence quantitative PCR and Western blot.Results:The expressions of Hes1 in the rat spinal cord of 15.5 d to adulthood were found,which showed certain regular changes.The expressions of Hes1 in embryonic stages of rat was high,which was decreased after birth.Conclusions:The expression of Hes1 at different stages of the rat spinal cord development is different,which was high in the embryonic period,and was depressed after birth.
