Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effects of continuous femoral nerve block guided by ultrasound on the postoperative rehabilitation analgesia in elderly patients with total knee arthroplasty. Methods:Sixty elderly patients with ASA Ⅰ-Ⅲ treated with unilateral total knee arthroplasty were randomly divided into the intravenous analgesia group(group A) and continuous femoral nerve block analgesia guided by ultrasound group(group B)(30 cases each group). The pain visual analogue scale of resting and continuous passive motion, strength rating and incidence of adverse reaction in two groups were observed. Results:The pain visual analogue scale of resting and continuous passive motion of group B after operation were significantly lower than those of group A(P<0.01).Conclusions:The clinical effect of continuous femoral nerve block guided by ultrasound on the postoperative analgesia in elderly patients with total knee arthroplasty is good, which is a good method of easing pain after operation.
