Application effect of the "anti-fall management process" in geriatric ward

    • Objective:To explore the effects of the application of the "anti-fall management process" in geriatric wards. Methods:The "anti-fall management process" was established and implemented, which included establishing the anti-fall and safety management system, fall-risk assessment and fall-risk disclosure statement, and implementing anti-fall measures, quality control and continuous improvement measures for inpatients. The specialization and individuation measures were implemented to prevent fall. Results:The forecast of high-risk fall after the application of the "anti-fall management process" was higher than that before the application of the "anti-fall management process"(P<0.01), the fall rate was low than that before the implementation. Conclusions:The "anti-fall management process" can foresee, evaluate and treat the underlying risk factors of fall in elderly patients, avoid the fall of patient and ensure the safety of elderly patients during hospitalization.
