The clinical comparison of two kinds of operative methods in hysterectomy

    • Objective: To compare the clinical effects of the laparoscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy(LAVH) and total abdominal hysterectomy(TAH),and investigate the LAVH clinical significance. Methods: Sixty-four patients treated with total hysterectomy were divided into LAVH and TAH group(32 cases each group) according to surgical method. The operation time, bleeding, postoperative temperature, anal exhaust time, hospital stay and analgesia pump use between two groups were compared. Results: The difference of uterine size between two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05),the bleeding and operation time in LAVH group were higher than those in TAH group(P<0.01).The postoperative temperature, anal exhaust time, hospital stay and analgesia pump use in LAVH group were significantly lower than those in TAH group(P<0.05 to P<0.01).Conclusions: The two kinds of surgical methods have different advantages and disadvantages.LAVH is feasible, minimally invasive and beautiful, the postoperation of which is light pain, quick recovery and short hospital stay.
