The correlation between the levels of the plasma lipoprotein(a),high sensitive C-reactive protein and brain natriuretic peptide with the severity of coronary artery disease

    • Objective: To explore the correlation between the levels of the plasma lipoprotein(a)Lp(a),high sensitive C-reactive protein(hs-CRP) and brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) with the severity of coronary artery disease(CAD).Methods: According to the results of coronary angiography,216 patients were divided into the CAD group(216 cases) and control group(87 cases),and the CAD group were subdivided into the single-vessel disease group(35 cases),double-vessel disease group(40 cases) and three-vessel disease group(54 cases). The levels of the plasma Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP in all groups were detected, and the correlations of whose with coronary lesion vessels and Gensini scores were analyzed. Results: The levels of Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP in CAD group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.01).The differences of the levels of Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP in different vessels disease group were statistically significant(P<0.01),and the levels of Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP in three-vessel disease group were significantly higher than those in control group and single-vessel disease group(P<0.01).With the increasing of Gensini score, the levels of plasma Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP increased(P<0.01).There was a positive correlation between the levels of Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP with coronary lesion vessels and Gensini scores(P<0.01).Conclusions: The combined detection of the levels of plasma Lp(a),hs-CRP and BNP has an important significance in judging the severity of coronary artery disease.
