The synthesis and properties of a two dimensional wavelike sheet coordination polymer

Abstract
Objective:To study the relationship between the properties and the structure of the wavelike sheet zinc coordination polymer,and explore the preparation method of new fluorescence materials.Methods:Under solvothermal conditions,the assembly of 4,4'-bis(benzimidazol-1-ylmethy1)biphenyl,4,4'-dicarboxydiphenyl sulfone and Zn(NO3)2·6H2O resulting a new complexZn(C14H18SO6)(C28H22N4)n.The complex has been characterized by single crystal X-ray structure analyses,thermogravimetric analyses,powder X-ray diffraction and solid-state photoluminescent measurements.Results:The complex has a wavelike sheet framework and exists intense fluorescent emissions with a maximum peak of 379 nm(λex=298 nm),which should result from the π-π interaction between benzimidazol rings.Conclusions:A new coordination polymer have been synthesized and the fluorescent properties well studied,to provide approaches for the design and exploitation of new fluorescence materials.
