The levels of serum homocysteine and fibrinogen in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients complicated with cerebral infarction

Objective:To detect the levels of serum homocysteine(Hcy) and fibrinogen(FIB) in type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) patients complicated with cerebral infarction.Methods:Seventy T2DM patients were divided into the cerebral infarction group(45 cases complicated with cerebral infarction) and simple T2DM group(25 cases),20 healthy people were set as the control group.The levels of serum Hcy and FIB in all cases were detected.Results:The levels of serum Hcy and FIB in cerebral infarction group were higher than those in T2DM group and control group(PPPConclusions:The levels of serum Hcy and FIB in T2DM patients complicated with cerebral infarction significantly increase,which may be the patients' independent risk factors.
