    The clinical effect of modified wenjing decoction in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea

    • Objective:To investigate the effects of modified wenjing decoction in the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.Methods:Ninty-one patients with primary dysmenorrhea were randomly divided into the observation group(46 cases) and control group(45 cases).The observation group and control group were treated with modified wenjing decoction one dose a day 1 week before menstruation and ibuprofen sustained release capsule one capsule per half-day by oral,respectively.All cases were consecutively treated for 3 courses(1 week for 1 course).Results:The total effective rate in observational group was 84.8%,which was significantly higher than that in control group(64.4%)(P<0.01).Conclusions:Modified wenjing is an effective therapy for primary dysmenorrhea.
