Abstract
Objective:To study the clinical effects of the pulse pressure index(PPI) and systolic blood pressure variability(SBpV) on the patients with ischemic stroke. Methods:The 24-hours ambulatory blood pressure monitor(ABpM) in 208 patients with hypertension were implemented, and all patients were scaned with brain CT or MRI.The PPI was calculated and analyzed on the basis of PPI≥0.40 and systolic blood pressure standard deviation(SBpV-SD)≥12 mmHg.Results:The total incidence of the ischemic stroke was 43.27%(90 cases).PPI≥0.40,SBpV-SD≥12 mmHg,PPI≥0.40 and SBpV-SD≥12 mmHg,the incidence of the ischemic stroke of which was significantly higher that of patients with PPI<0.40,SBpV-SD<12 mmHg and PPI<0.40 complicated with SBpV-SD≤12 mmHg(P<0.01).Conclusions:During the 24-hours ABpM,the PPI≥0.40 and SBpV-SD≥12 mmHg is an important indicator in predicting the ischemic stroke.
