    Study on antioxidant and antitumor active ingredient from Psoralea corylifolia

    • Objective: To screen the anti-oxidative and antitumor compounds from Psoralea corylifolia L.seeds.Methods: The methanol extract of Psoralea corylifolia L.was separated by a variety of column chromatography and the modern separation methods,the compounds were identified by nuclear magnetic resonance and electrospray ionization-mass spectrum.Results: Eleven compounds were obtained and identified as ① psoralen,② isopsoralen,③ psoralidin,④ psoralenoside,⑤ isopsoralenoside;⑥ bisbakuchiols A,⑦ bisbakuchiols B,⑧ 12,13-dihydro-12,⑨13-epoxybabakuchiol;corylin,⑩ isobavachin, ⑪ and bavachinin.Compounds ③,⑥,⑦ shown scavenging effect to the 1,1-Diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical;compounds ③,⑨-⑪ displayed the antiproliferation effect to the liver cancer HepG2 and breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells,compounds ⑦ displayed the antiproliferation effect to the liver cancer HepG2 cells.Conclusions: Compounds ③,⑥,⑦ shown antioxidant activity;compounds ③,⑦,⑨-⑪ shown antitumor activity.
