Abstract
Objective: To investigate the preventive effects of the early intervention in newborn pathological jaundice. Methods: The liver function data of umbilical venous blood in 302 full-term newborns were measured from March 2012 to December 2014.The early intervention treatment in newborns with total bilirubin higher than 50.1μmol/L or total bile acid higher than 11.295μmol/L in umbilical cord blood were implemented after 24 h,48 h and 72 h of birth. Results: The incidence of the newborn pathological jaundice in early intervention(23.65%) was lower than that in the nonintervention newborn(58.44%)(P<0.01).The effects of 24 h,48 h and 72 h intervention group was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusions: The invention after of birth in newborns with total bilirubin higher than 50.1μmol/L or total bile acid higher than 11.295μmol/L in umbilical cord blood can effectively prevent the pathological jaundice, which is worthy of promotion in clinic.
